CP24 is Canada's News-Talk Breaking News Radio Stream. It was first originally launched on March 30, 1998, under the name CablePulse24 by its owners CHUM Limited and Sun Media. The channel was named as an extension of CITY-TV (City TV Toronto)'s newscasts, which were then known as City Pulse.
